Meeting with a Buffalo Insurance Health Agent

Because we’re different from typical insurance agents, we will never try to pressure you into buying a particular plan. We act more like advisors, so we actually help you look at your health care needs in order to find the best insurance plan for you.

As you prepare for your appointment, we recommend that you review needs like prescription drugs, disability, and medical equipment. Many of the people we work with wonder if they can keep their primary care physician (PCP), and it will depend on the plan. If that is important to you, we can design a plan that will accommodate your PCP.

Also, be prepared to discuss any recent life changes with your agent, because you may qualify for a special enrollment outside of open enrollment.

Additionally, if you are under the age of 65, we can also help you find the health insurance plan that will meet your needs.

How long are health insurance agent appointments?

We recommend that you plan for an appointment of around two hours. When you sit down with your agent, they will ask you some questions about your previous medical history and get to know your health care needs.

After learning what kind of plan you need, your agent may make a plan recommendation, or offer to contact the insurance carrier on your behalf. That’s another thing we do as agents, we can be your go-between for you and the insurance providers.

What people don’t know is that insurance carriers have a wide variety of options in terms of plans. The key to getting what you want is knowing what to ask. From our years of experience working with these companies, we know how to ask the right questions to help get you the exact plan you need.
