Why Buffalo Health Advisors?
Finding the perfect health insurance plan can be confusing and challenging. At Buffalo Health Advisors, we sit down with you and help you find the best options. Unlike typical insurance agents, we don’t work for any insurance companies or carriers—and we never will. We’re advisors who are here to help you find a health insurance plan that is the right fit for you.
While we are an independent brokerage agency, our insurance brokers work with every insurance carrier on the market. A few of the names we associate with include Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and Cigna. Additionally, we work with lesser-known carriers like AmeriGroup or United Healthcare for their AARP plans.
Our goal is to use all of our resources and connections to tailor each plan to each individual we work with. Because of our partnerships with these carriers, we can provide these plans at no additional cost. In fact, we usually can help you save money when we find health insurance plans because we know how to ask for the best coverage.
Visiting with a Health Advisor
When you visit with us, we recommend that you allow for about two hours. During your visit, we will get to know you and your needs. At the end of your visit, you should be ready to enroll in the perfect insurance plan.
We understand that everyone has busy schedules, so we make ourselves as flexible and available as possible. You can call us for a visit over the phone. Or, if you prefer to visit face-to-face, you can visit one of our offices or affiliated enrollment centers.
Our advisors are also available to come to your house at your convenience to review your health insurance options. You can schedule an appointment here on our website or over the phone.
Preparing to Visit With Your Advisor
Because we’re different from insurance agents, we will never try to pressure you into buying a particular plan. We’re advisors, so we help you look at your health care needs in order to find the best insurance plan for you.
As you prepare for your appointment, we recommend that you review needs like prescription drugs, disability, and medical equipment. Many of the people we work with wonder if they can keep their primary care physician (PCP), and it will depend on the plan. If that is important to you, we can design a plan that will accommodate your PCP.
Also, be prepared to discuss any recent life changes with your advisor, because you may qualify for a special enrollment outside of open enrollment.
Additionally, if you are under the age of 65, we can also help you find insurance that will meet your needs.
When you think Medicare, think Buffalo.
